|Controversies||• In October 2017, his former girlfriends Sunita Rajwar and actress Niharika Singh (who co-starred with him in Miss Lovely) accused him of misrepresenting facts in his biography- An Ordinary Life: A Memoir.
A complaint against Nawazuddin was made with the National Commission for Women (NCW).
Niharika Singh’s advocate Gautam Gulati, on behalf of Niharika, lodged a complaint against Nawazuddin for “outraging the modesty of the actress.”
• In July 2018, Rajeev Sinha, a Congress politician from the West Bengal, lodged an F.I.R.
against Nawazuddin and the producers of the Netflix web series, Sacred Games for defaming the former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, and also, for taking the level of Bollywood to a new low.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family
It wasn’t easy to making it in Bollywood Film industry and he know this from the start, but nothing stop him to chasing his dreams. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Popularly known as Ganesh Gaitonde(Sacred Games) was born 19 May1974 in Budhana,Uttar Pradesh. He is the eldest from his 8 siblings and stay in a village where getting proper education is quite hard.
In his childhood duration he worked with his father in the farm and at the same time he completed his education under the lamp. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar and worked for a while in a petrochemical company as a chemist.
While moving to delhi for searching a new job he watch a play where he instantly attracted and realize that this is the platform where he belongs too and join The National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi in 1996. Since there was not enough money in theatres, he worked as a watchman for the subsistence for around 5 years
After Completing his education from National School of Drama (NSD), he shifted to Mumbai to pursue his dreams and enter to the struggling part where he was ready to face that point, since he already know that it is not easy to get the fame.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui hardly have money to pay rent and get paltry roles in starting of his carrer. One of his NSD senior help him to stay in his home on one condition, if he was ready to cook meal for him.
Popularly know as Ganesh Gaitonde, Nawazuddin Siddiqui made his Bollywood debut in 1999, with a small role in Aamir Khan starrer, Sarfarosh.
After that, he started to getting stereotypical roles, where he shared screen along with Sunil Dutt and Sanjay Dutt in Munnabhai MBBS as a pickpocket role in 2003. Later he apprared in few other small roles. His appearance in Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday (2004) that paved way for other powerful roles.
He got the first recognition as a actor in Aamir Khan Productions’s Peepli Live (2010) of his role as a journalist. In 2012, he appeared in Prashant Bhargava‘s Patang : The Kite (2012) which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival, for which Siddiqui’s performance was praised by film critic Roger Ebert, a role which “transformed his acting style”.
He appeared in Kahaani (2012), where he played the exemplary short-tempered intelligence officer Khan. Gangster epic Gangs of Wasseypur followed which furthered his fame in Anurag Kashyap Movie.
In 2015, Siddiqui’s films Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Manjhi – The Mountain Man released, where he was praised for his roles. From some of the dialogues to funny memes, his character of Ganesh Gaitonde is one of the top popular characters in his career, not only among Indian audiences but also globally in web TV series Sacred Games.
He started out as a chemist, then watchman, junior artist and now, he is a well-known face in India. From a poor background to a rejected actor to a lead actor to National Film Award Winner, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s story is a truly rags to riches one.
