Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela 18 july 1918 – 5 December 2013 was a south African anti – apartheid revolutionry, politician and Philanthropist , who served as president of South Africa  from 1994 to 1999
He was the country first  Black head of state  and the first elected democrative election
government look on Dismantling the legacy of apartheid by tacking institutionalised  racism and fostering reconciliation

He Served as president of the African  National Congress {ANC} party From 1991 to 1997 First black President of post-apartheid South Africa 1994-1999

  • Nobel Peace Laureate 1993
  • Founder of The Elders and Honorary Elder
  • Imprisoned for 27 years for his role in the anti-apartheid struggle
